The Marlow Roost Story

The Marlow Roost property was purchased in May, 1999 on the Nevada County AirPark after more than a year searching for property we liked on an airport with airport access.  Although this property did not have a hanger, the property did have a very nice home and enough land for a large hanger and direct access to the North East end of runway 25.

We actually purchased this property without ever visiting the property.  Our son Bruce and his family were looking for property in the area and while in the area they visited the place and took a lot of photos and a floor plan and sent them to us.  We liked it so we made an offer and it was accepted.

A 60' X 60' hanger was erected in the Spring of 2000 and was finished just in time for a 50th wedding anniversary party for Dick & Beverly Marlow.  During the party Don Bartholomew flew over from Nevada with his Swift and the Marlow & Bartholomew Swifts were displayed on the pad in front of the hanger as shown below:
