My Son Bruce and I bought the 260 Comanche in the fall of 2000. We immediately had the engine rebuilt and while that was being done we rebuilt everything foreword of the firewall because it was a mess.
We cleaned, painted, replaced the insulation on the firewall and replaced all of the wiring. We found several items that could have caused us problems in the future.
The Comanche instrument panel was well equipped and had dual Nav/Coms, glide slope, Autopilot with altitude hold, Storm scope, DME, Transponder with encoder and intercom system
