The Marlow Swift was purchased in April of 1998 after it had been stored in a hanger for about 30 years.  The story of the Swift prior to purchase was skimpy but fortunately the original records up until the time the Swift was stored were available from the FAA.

After the Swift was removed from the hanger and given a wash job the wings of the were removed and the Swift was placed on a trailer using "The Aeroplane Factory" system for transportation.  The Swift was transported more than 400 miles to Gardnerville, Nevada for the restoration.
